About Us

Our Humble Beginnings

Jobsite Mechanical Service Ltd. started out as a rather small company by Mike Hrebenik in 2011. He would go on the road working for various construction companies on everything from skidsteer service to fixing 5110 cat excavators. Later in 2011 he added the first full-time mechanic, Ryan, when work onsite at mines such as PCS and Mosaic picked up. In 2012 Derek was hired as a mechanic, working out of a family farm shop outside of Yorkton; this is when we started doing work on on-highway trucks and trailers. Late in 2012 we added a 2012 Kenworth service truck to help us better serve the oil field.

We became a Saskatchewan Safety Station early in 2013. In 2013 an opportunity for full-time work at BHP Biliton Jansen came our way. We then purchased our 2nd new F550 service truck and hired a journeyman mechanic to service and look after that site. As more and more work was coming the need for a large shop became apparent. In 2014 we broke ground on a 7,200 square foot shop facility with 2,400 square feet of office and parts room space and a 7.5T crane.

As the shop grew busier the need for a 3rd new f550 was needed. With the option of in-shop repair offered to customers we also wanted to offer a low bedding service, so the purchase of a 2006 Peterbilt and Lowbed were made. An operations manager, Greg, was hired in the spring of 2015 to help us with service booking and a stocking of parts. Early in 2016 the need to expand more was evident. So, a journeyman Ag tech, Daryl, was added to the JMS team. With that JMS entered the Ag repair world to go along with the already busy highway truck and heavy construction industries. In 2022 we expanded into our new shop addition to accommodate our busy and growing customer needs.

Today we have a staff of 14 and are steadily growing and always looking for more opportunities. Our number one goal is customer satisfaction and keeping our customers equipment on the road or in the dirt making money!

Mike is the President and Owner of Jobsite Mechanical Services and is a Journeyman Heavy-Duty Mechanic with over 20 years of experience.

Brooklynn

Mini Boss

Michael’s daughter, Brooklynn, is our mini boss. She helps keep things flowing in the office and puts a smile on everyone’s face.

Greg

Operations Manager

Greg is the Operations Manager of Jobsite Mechanical Services with over 18 years of parts experience.

Larissa

Office Manager

Larissa has been with us since February 2019, she’s the first one to greet you on phone, she takes care of all accounting and invoicing.

Craig

Parts

Craig is our go to parts guy. He looks after all parts and makes sure our guys have what they need to get the job done.

Lane

Parts

Lane came to JMS in 2023 with years of agricultural parts experience. He takes care of our mechanics and our customers to make sure they have any parts they need.

Vince

Parts/Labour Support

Vince brings with him a very extensive knowledge of Ag service and parts. While working in the Ag field for the last 45 years, he helps keep our farmers in the field and their equipment in tip top shape.

Ryan is the In-Shop/Road Mechanic at Jobsite Mechanical Services with over 15 years of experience in mechanics.

Journeyman Truck Transport Mechanic

Bernie is a Journeyman Truck & Transport mechanic. He brings his experience of 30 years to our shop. Bernie has an extensive knowledge of truck and trailer repairs, helping to keep the tires rolling!

Kyle is a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic at Jobsite Mechanical Services. He works on various construction equipment and completes on site maintenance.
